I never ever put any tools on a customer’s property (stove, counter,etc…) for fear of scratching something. So anytime I needed to set something down, my pack out stack became the prime target. So a lot of times I needed to flip the lid to get a bit or a screw or whatever, I would have to move whatever I put on top of it. The shelf makes it so I have a place to set my stuff down while still having full access to my flip top storage. I was thinking about it for a while and I was going to rig something up but it wouldn’t have came out as clean and simple as this. Glad I stumbled on these brackets

The flip folding Joey is fantastic. I live in the humid south so we will just have to see how the metal brackets hold up. However, the function is exactly what I was looking for. I have the m12 packout light, a packout tote, and a modified dual voltage 6 bay charger. None of these items can be stacked upon, there’s times I can’t keep stacking vertically. So I keep my light on one flip up Joey and a slim organizer full of impact bits on the other Joey, and my tools in a briefcase case packout box between those and 2 sets of drawers under that on the dolly. Perfect setup for everything I need.

I work commercial HVAC and wanted to be able to put the Milwaukee paper towel holder on the side of my pack out so I could put the rolls of tape I use and it works great I can fit 3 full rolls of FSK or Red letter tape on it. The only issue I had was the paper towel holder was meant for the wall plates and those have an extra edge on the plastic to act as a stopper for the towel holder so it wouldn’t stay locked in on the plate but I fixed it with a small screw to keep it in place. I could still remove the towel holder if I want to put another pack out container on it in the future. All in all the quality of the product is great!

Great flip up shelf. comes with all the hardware you will need. Buy the top caps as it makes removing and replacing the rails a lot easier as you can just drill out the old caps.

I bought it with the Joey JZ half packout mount. The hardware provided was not compatible with the bracket without modification. I just mounted the half packout mount to the side of my packout box and ordered the HTPE top and mounted it as intended. Works good so far.

These brackets are truly excellent, strong well made, robust and with a quality feel and look. They fold out with a satisfying clunk and fold away with a touch of a lever on each arm. They provide a very strong, robust and stable fold out work platform or to mount a foldaway Packout storage organiser.
Having had previous experience with plastic mounting points for attaching items such as this to the corner rails on Milwaukee Packout drawer units and tool boxes, I have found the metal mounting points supplied here superior in every way, load carrying strength, stability and a precise fit.

I love these kits. I preferred a plywood top with mounting feet instead of the Milwaukee worktop- I hated the sloping plastic edges and how it added something like an extra 3” of height. I now have a 48”x16” work surface when open. As for the machined brackets themselves, naturally the set screws leave dimples in the aluminum uprights of the Packout, but that’s to be expected. The most annoying part is getting the uprights out of the Packout without cracking the plastic, causing the little plastic tooth to flatten out. When the new bracketed shelf had weight on it the upright slid down a little so I fixed that problem by adding a 1” screw with a fender washer. No more issues. I know packible sells replacement tops for them held in by set screws which I’m sure is a much cleaner look.

Made a cool work area for working on my knives im a 6’3” guy and with all my pack out boxes it was perfect height right about to the bottom of my chest I didn’t have to be hunched over the holes in the Milwaukee wall mount makes perfect table top to put my clamps through to get to those hard to reach areas I plan on getting some of the mounts to screw to a nice price of wood so it can lock in there to work on really loving it thanks a lot Alex !

Love it ! I’m kinda glad it does not come with a table top because I used a Milwaukee wall mount from Home Depot I got for about 20$ a little drilled a couple holes and boom your table is now pack out compatible I plan on getting small organizer to store on it very strong table don’t think it’s big enough to fit something heavy enough to break it was only able to put one picture in review so I’ll post 1 or 2 more reviews of other pictures of it!
